2015 Spelling Bee Packets

It’s time for the annual Beye School Spelling Bee for Grades 2 through 5!  Fourth graders, please join us on Tuesday, January 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Auditorium. Each grade will compete separately as its own grade group.  All students will receive a prize for participating in this friendly competition.

Word lists and rules are attached to this form.  Please take time to study this word list.  The words will be taken right from the attached list, until we exhaust that list.  After that point, we will move to an unpublished challenge list (and for all of you who have been to spelling bees in the past, you know that your third grader might need to know how to spell the word “croissant” and second graders should know the word “sunbonnet”). 


The details:

• Submit your completed registration form by Tuesday, January 20th to your homeroom teacher (though walk-ins are welcome, too).
  
• Practice the published word list.
  
• Join us for an informal practice session immediately after school on Tuesday, January 27 (from approximately 3:10 until 3:45).
  
• At 6:30 on the night of the Bee, the 2nd graders take the stage.  Each grade level follows in order.
