PTO Meeting | Tomorrow Night!

Our first PTO meeting is tomorrow in the Commons from 7-8:30 pm. Babysitting is available. Put the P in PTO and join us! Everyone is welcome.
The agenda includes important presentations by Ms. Robinet & Mr. Ellwanger on the School Improvement Plan for 2017-2018 and Mr. Manus on report card changes. We hope you'll attend!

Trekkers is Back! 

Trekkers is a voluntary lunchtime run/walk program for all grade levels. It is designed to encourage students to build endurance and cardiovascular health. The emphasis centers on cumulative distance covered over time and having a blast while being active with friends. This is a great once-a-week volunteer opportunity for parents to get outdoors and cheer on our Trekkers while keeping them safe and on track. Trekkers takes place during lunch recess each Tuesday from 11 am - 12 pm. Please contact Gustavo deFraga at [email protected] if you can spare an hour or more to help out on Tuesdays whether it be for one week, a few weeks, or many weeks.

Beye PASS Tutoring (Parents Assisting Student Success)

Do you enjoy watching kids learn? Have you helped students with reading and math before? Would you like to fill a much-needed role in our school? Then consider volunteering to be a BeyePASS tutor! Tutors are assigned to work one-on-one with a student for the school year in areas of greatest need. Tutoring may involve helping with reading, practicing math facts, or completing classroom assignments, all under the direction of the student’s classroom teacher. Commitment is once or twice per week for 30-60 minutes. Host a Beye-In Party!

Beye-In parties are parties that are hosted by Beyefamilies in an effort to raise funds for Beye! The parties are geared toward students, adults, and familes. Spaces in these parties are sold to the Beye community on a first-come, first-served basis and ALL proceeds benefit the school. 

Now it’s easier than ever to host a party! Check out this HUGE list of party ideas! We have possibilities of all different sizes, styles, times of year and price ranges. Things for kids, families and adults only.  Have a different idea?  Let’s do it! 

NEW: PTO will reimburse party expenses (up to a predetermined cap). Your gift to the PTO is hosting – you don’t have a financial obligation also - unless you choose to.

What’s next?  Email Jen Kellogg at [email protected] and set up a 5 minute phone call to pick a date and solidify the plan & budget.  The PTO will create the flyers and advertise the party. You throw the party. (Invite your friends to help you host!) Easy Peasey.

We need you! Especially photographers, collage artists, and creative people...

​Each year, a group of parents volunteer to collect photographs from each classroom, each student, and each group to create a lasting memory of the Beye School year. We need one or two parents from each class to photograph students during parties, field trips, and other activities for use in class collages and candids pages.

Those with design or scrapbook skills can also assist with the yearbook page layout, collages, and design.
